Fixed practice tracks expect you to adapt to someone else's range, tempo, direction, and stopping point. Scale Builder lets the track adapt to you.
Use a smaller range on recovery days. Change the speed without changing pitch. Continue the same exercise higher or lower as the voice develops. Save the exact version you want to practice.
There is no magical scale. The method lives in how the human performs the exercise.
Why Scale Builder Exists
Built from actual practice.
I built Scale Builder for my own practice and for the singers I work with. Generic tracks kept ending at the wrong place, moving too quickly, or forcing the singer into somebody else's range.
I needed a tool that could change with the voice in front of me, so I built one. I eventually decided to make it available to everyone.
I built Scale Builder for my own practice, refined it while working with students, and made it available to singers who want more control over how they practice.
Pain is not progress. Begin conservatively and stop immediately if singing or practice causes pain, discomfort, persistent hoarseness, breathing or swallowing difficulty, or anything that feels wrong.
Human Instrument Method provides vocal education and training, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
